Professional Digital UHF Performance and Control
The EW-D series utilises an equidistant tuning grid, a technology previously reserved for Sennheiser’s high-end Digital 6000 and 9000 systems. This removes the complexity of frequency coordination by allowing channels to be placed at equal intervals (600 kHz apart) without intermodulation interference. The system offers a massive 134 dB dynamic range, ensuring that even the most subtle nuances or powerful vocal peaks are captured with pristine clarity. With 1.9 ms of ultra-low latency, the audio remains natural and immediate for live performances.
System management is streamlined through the Sennheiser Smart Assist App, which connects via Bluetooth Low Energy. This allows for automated setup, remote monitoring of battery life, and frequency scanning directly from a smartphone or tablet. The system operates in the UHF spectrum, providing enhanced range and reliability compared to 2.4 GHz digital systems. It is capable of scaling up to 90 simultaneous channels within its 56 MHz tuning bandwidth, making it suitable for both small venues and large-scale multi-channel installations.

The EW-D EM receiver is housed in a rugged, half-rack metal chassis, suitable for both tabletop use and professional rack mounting. The EW-D SKM-S handheld transmitter is also built with a durable metal housing and includes a dedicated mute switch for user control on stage.
Because the transmitter features an interchangeable capsule design, it is compatible with the full range of Sennheiser Evolution Wireless Digital microphone heads (such as the MMD 835, 935, and 945) as well as premium Neumann capsules. The transmitter provides up to 8 hours of operation with standard AA batteries, which can be extended to 12 hours with the optional BA 70 rechargeable lithium-ion battery pack.
