Bosch PRM-4P600: Next-Generation Four-Channel Power Amplifier
The Bosch PRM-4P600 is a highly innovative and robust 4-channel power amplifier from the SYNSONA series, engineered to deliver exceptional performance and flexibility in commercial audio installations. It represents the pinnacle of efficient power delivery for both background music and clear voice announcements across retail, hospitality, educational facilities, and transportation hubs. With its sophisticated power management and thermal technology, the PRM-4P600 ensures trouble-free operation and significant reduction in total cost of ownership.
Dynamic Power Management: powerTANK and Variable Load Drive
The PRM-4P600 redefines power distribution in commercial amplification through its proprietary technologies. powerTANK Technology provides a total power reservoir of 600 W that is dynamically and flexibly shared across all four channels. This intelligence eliminates the traditional constraints of fixed power allocation, allowing up to 300 W to be instantly deployed to a single channel as needed, without manual configuration. Variable Load Drive (VLD) optimises power transfer, enabling the amplifier to deliver consistent power into 4 Ohm and 8 Ohm low-impedance loads, as well as 70 V and 100 V high-impedance loads, on any channel simultaneously. This removes the need for specific amplifier models for different loudspeaker loads, simplifying inventory and installation.
Advanced Energy and Thermal Efficiency
The amplifier is built with sustainability and reliability at its core, incorporating cutting-edge thermal and power-saving features. ecoRAIL technology significantly reduces power consumption during low-level background music playback, operating at near standby efficiency while still producing audio. For extended periods of inactivity, Auto Power Down (APD) mode engages to reduce consumption to less than 1 W. The smart thermal design ensures reliable operation. Under typical conditions, the amplifier is convection cooled, operating silently. In the event of extreme thermal demands or high output levels, the intelligent multi-speed fan automatically engages to maintain peak performance and protect components, a system referred to as dualCOOL Thermal Management.
Simplified Integration and Signal Processing
Installation is streamlined for professional systems using versatile connectivity and integrated signal processing features. The PRM-4P600 features professional Euroblock connectors for loudspeaker outputs and analog audio inputs. It also supports amp-LINK (RJ45, AES72-1E) for simple single-cable signal cascading to multiple amplifiers. Each channel features built-in High-Pass (HPF) and Low-Pass (LPF) filters (24 dB/Octave) selectable via DIP switches, allowing for basic crossover functionality without the need for external processors. Available filter settings include HPF options at 30/50/100/150 Hz and LPF options up to 150 Hz. Housed in a durable industrial design, the amplifier occupies only 1 RU of rack space, making it easy to integrate into standard 19-inch equipment racks.
