The BenQ TK850i is a true 4K UHD home entertainment projector engineered specifically for ambient-lit living rooms, media spaces, and sports viewing. Delivering 3,000 ANSI lumens of light output powered by DLP XPR technology, BenQ HDR-PRO dynamic tone mapping, and integrated Google-certified Android TV, it provides sharp, high-contrast big-screen entertainment without requiring a pitch-black dedicated cinema environment.

True 4K UHD Resolution, HDR-PRO, and Dynamic Iris

The TK850i utilizes a 0.47-inch DMD chip with fast-switching XPR technology to produce a true 3840 x 2160 resolution on screen with 8.3 million distinct pixels. A ten-element, eight-group all-glass lens structure ensures edge-to-edge optical clarity, preventing chromatic aberration and focus softness across large screen sizes up to 200 inches.

To overcome ambient lighting while retaining shadow separation, the optical system incorporates BenQ HDR-PRO technology supporting both HDR10 and HLG formats. A physical Dynamic Iris actively adjusts light output on a frame-by-frame basis, expanding dynamic range up to 30,000:1 contrast. Combined with a precision four-segment RGBW color wheel, the projector achieves 98 percent coverage of the Rec.709 color gamut with accurate skin tones and grass rendering via dedicated Sports picture and sound modes.

Certified Android TV, Motion Enhancer, and Flexible Installation

The projector comes equipped with the BenQ QS01 streaming dongle concealed within an internal top bay, providing direct access to the Google-certified Android TV ecosystem. Users can stream 4K content via Prime Video, YouTube, and Google Play, cast wireless media from iOS and Android devices using integrated Chromecast, and control system navigation with Google Assistant voice commands.

Installation flexibility is supported through a 1.3x optical zoom with a short-throw ratio of 1.13 to 1.47:1, allowing a 100-inch image from 2.5 metres away. Optical vertical lens shift of plus 10 percent and automatic vertical keystone correction allow clean geometric screen alignment on tabletops or ceiling mounts without degrading pixel resolution. Built-in chambered stereo speakers (two 5W drivers with treVolo audio enhancement) deliver onboard vocal clarity for casual viewing setups.
