Australian Monitor IS4250P: Premium 4-Channel Power Amplifier
The Australian Monitor IS4250P is a high-performance Class D multi-channel power amplifier designed for professional audio reinforcement. It delivers 4 x 250W of power and is engineered for versatility, supporting 4 ohm, 70V, and 100V output options to suit various commercial installation requirements. This amplifier stands out for its integrated DSP engine and web-based control, making it a sophisticated choice for modern AV environments.
Advanced Control and DSP Capabilities
A primary feature of the IS4250P is the embedded ALMA Control Software, which is accessible through any HTML5-compliant web browser. This allows for remote configuration and monitoring from PCs, tablets, or smartphones without the need for additional software installation. The built-in DSP engine provides professional tools including an input matrix, high/low/all-pass filters, parametric equalisers, compressors/limiters, delay, and mute/inversion controls.
The amplifier also supports fallback redundancy, which monitors the audio level of any input and automatically switches to a backup source if the signal falls below a set threshold. For energy efficiency, the unit is ErP compliant, consuming less than 2 watts in standby mode, and features an auto-standby function that wakes the amplifier upon detecting an input signal.
Modular Expansion and System Integration
The IS4250P is designed for modular growth, featuring an expansion slot that can accommodate the DM4x4 Dante Module (providing 4 Dante inputs and outputs) or the ANALOGUE4 Module (providing 4 additional line-level inputs). It also features four GPIO ports for external control functions such as remote volume control, muting via contact closure, or preset recall.
For integrated systems, the amplifier supports 3rd party control over TCP and UDP protocols and is officially compatible with platforms like Neets Project Designer and Xilica Designer. Its 2RU rack-mountable design and efficient Class D topology make it a powerful yet compact solution for high-density audio racks.
