Australian Monitor HS250v2: 250W Class-D Mixer Amplifier

The Australian Monitor HS250v2 is an enterprise-grade 250W single-channel mixer amplifier engineered for commercial paging, background music distribution, and public address in retail, corporate, hospitality, and educational environments. Packing nine audio input channels, an energy-efficient Class-D amplifier stage, integrated Bluetooth audio streaming, an onboard media player, and priority muting into a slim 1RU rackmount chassis, it provides complete commercial audio management in a space-saving form factor.

Nine-Channel Mixing Architecture and Input Flexibility

The HS250v2 features an extensive nine-channel mixing topology configured with seven external inputs and two internal media sources. The rear panel provides six universal microphone or line-level inputs with XLR, Euroblock, and dual RCA connectivity, alongside selectable phantom power. A dedicated 3.5mm auxiliary stereo jack is positioned on the front panel for convenient walk-up device connections.

Each external input channel features dedicated gain trim, volume control, and individual treble and bass equalisation. To prevent unauthorised adjustments in public spaces or unsupervised equipment racks, the front panel includes a detachable magnetic concealment cover that shields all fine-tuning controls while leaving primary master knobs accessible. Flexible priority muting allows channels one through three to duck background music and auxiliary feeds automatically when paging announcements or emergency tones are triggered.

Programmable Bluetooth 5.1, Media Engine, and Multi-Tap Output

The upgraded v2 platform incorporates a fully programmable Bluetooth 5.1 receiver module. Using dedicated PC software via an SD card configuration workflow, integrators can customise the Bluetooth broadcast SSID name, lock access via a security PIN, and configure pairing parameters to prevent accidental or unauthorised connection from adjacent rooms.

An integrated digital tone generator provides five factory-embedded alerting signals—including bell, alert, evacuation, and chime tones—alongside capacity for up to 11 custom user tones uploaded via an onboard SD card slot. The same slot powers an internal MP3 and WAV media player with selectable sequential or random loop playback modes. The high-efficiency Class-D power stage supports 4-ohm low-impedance loads as well as 70V and 100V distributed constant-voltage speaker lines, backed by fan-assisted cooling and thermal overload protection.

To ensure your warranty remains valid, it is crucial that you follow the manufacturer's warranty guidelines and instructions.

These guidelines often specify requirements for installation, use, and maintenance. Failure to follow them could void your warranty.

You can find the specific warranty information and contact details for your product in the documentation on the manufacturer's website.

It is always a good idea to register your product with the manufacturer after purchase, as this can simplify the process if you ever need to make a warranty claim.
