Optimal Audio Zone Control - Web App - User Manual

Accessing the Control Dashboard

To control the audio in your venue, you do not need to download an app from any store. Simply open the web browser on your phone, tablet, or computer and type the specific web address provided by your technician into the URL bar. It is essential that your device is connected to the venue’s private staff Wi-Fi network to establish a connection. Once the page loads, you will be presented with a clean dashboard showing the various areas of your business, such as the Dining Room, Bar, or Outdoor Terrace. If your manager has set up a security PIN, enter it when prompted to unlock the controls.

Changing Music and Adjusting Volume

Each area of your venue is represented by a dedicated zone tile on your screen. To change the music in a specific room, tap on the name of that zone to open its control window. You will see a list of available music sources, such as a streaming player, a radio tuner, or a Bluetooth input. Tap the source you want to hear, and the change will happen instantly. To adjust the loudness, use the circular dial or slider associated with that zone. For venues with multiple rooms playing the same music, look for the link button to join zones together so you can control the volume of the entire building from a single master slider.

Making Announcements and Using Microphones

If your system includes a paging microphone for staff announcements, the WebApp handles the volume transition automatically. When you speak into the microphone, the background music will immediately dip in volume so your voice can be heard clearly. You do not need to manually lower the music on the screen before speaking. Once you finish your announcement and release the microphone button, the music will slowly fade back up to its original level. If you need to mute the music entirely for a moment, tap the speaker icon on the zone tile, which will turn red to indicate that the area is silenced.

Managing Different Times of Day

Your system may be programmed with preset buttons that change the atmosphere of the entire venue at once. These are often labeled by time of day, such as Breakfast, Lunch, or Evening. Instead of adjusting every room individually, tapping a single preset button will automatically set the correct volume levels and music genres for every zone to match the desired mood. This ensures that the audio remains consistent with your brand standards regardless of which staff member is on shift. If a zone is not behaving as expected, ensure that no manual overrides are active and that the correct preset for the current time of day is selected.

Basic Troubleshooting for Staff

If the control page fails to load on your device, the most common cause is that the device has accidentally switched to a guest Wi-Fi network or lost its internet connection. Check your Wi-Fi settings and ensure you are on the correct internal network. If the music stops playing in one room but is working in others, check the dashboard to see if that specific zone has been muted or if the volume has been turned all the way down. If the entire system is silent and the WebApp is unresponsive, located the main audio processor in the equipment rack and ensure the status light is solid white; if it is dark or flashing, the system may need to be switched off at the wall and back on again to refresh the connection.
